Chevron Secondary Cleaner
Chevron, cleated, and raised-rib belts present a special problem for efficient cleaning. However, not cleaning these belts lets the carryback move along the return belt and cause all the familiar problems: mistracking, buildup, and premature wear on idler rollers, resulting in belt wear and damage.
The Chevron Belt Cleaner effectively cleans cleated, raised-rib, and chevron belts without the clogging and rapid wear associated with conventional brush-type cleaners. Finger length, spacing, and rotary action allows the carryback to fall free instead of clogging. Drum life ranges from 1 to 3 years depending upon the application, conditions, and the material being conveyed.
- 2" (50 mm) long-wearing SBR rubber fingers gently dislodge carryback from chevron or raised ribs
- Compatible with reversing belts and mechanical fasteners
- CEMA Class 3
- Versatile tensioner kit can be mounted to push-up or pull-up the cleaner
- Belt speeds up to 500 fpm (2.5 m/sec)
- Belt widths 18" to 84" (450 to 2100 mm)
